Denver, CO (March 7, 2018) – Manufacturers will meet with PRO Group member distributors at the annual Group Merchandising Conference (GMC) June 18-20, 2018 at the Embassy Suites Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta, GA.

Developing new business relationships and strengthening existing partnerships is the focus of the event. The 3-day conference provides manufacturers the opportunity to meet face to face with distributor buyers. In addition to private, 30-minute scheduled meetings, a welcome reception, networking dinner and a farewell reception will provide plenty of opportunity for manufacturers to meet with prospective buyers.

Roger Woodward, President at Alliance Distribution Partners, was a first-time attendee at the 2017 Group Merchandising Conference and is returning in 2018. “The Pro Group conference was a great investment of our time and resources,” he said. “The event was very well done and the members were engaged and ready to do business. It was a very cost-effective way to reach a number of quality prospects in a short period of time. Sign us up for next year.”

The GMC has paved the way for group manufacturers to gain traction within the network of PRO distributors. The focal point of the event is private, scheduled meetings between distributors and manufacturers. These meetings present a uniquely valuable opportunity to showcase new products and merchandising displays to distributor buyers from the hardware, farm, lawn & garden, and paint sundries categories. The combination of business meetings and social networking make the GMC a great place to launch new initiatives.

Brad Tukey, Vice President of Sales & Marketing with American Power Pull, is a regular attendee at the GMC. “I truly believe this is the single most effective format going on anywhere in the industry. Other buying groups should learn from this,” he commented.

Only a few exhibiting slots remain for hardware, farm, lawn & garden and paint sundries manufacturers interested in meeting with distributors at this year’s GMC. Manufacturers interested in attending should contact Michele Simes at 720-875-2219 or by email at michele.simes@pro-group.com to be directed to the appropriate merchandising contact.
